Removing paint from bodies...
I have a few painted bodies that came with my clear ones I would like to strip and repaint....Anyone know anything that will strip the paint and not damage or "fog" the body? Thanks.

Nope, sorry. Maybe someone else can help ya, but we just paint over them. Use primer if you're going from dark to light.

depending on what kind of paint u use...there might be different things to use
when i used Testors enamel paint, i used a cup of PineSol floor cleaner or Mr.Clean......[smells bad too]
i left it in the cup for a day, took it out brushed some off, then put it back in for another hour or so, and brush off with toothbrush and repeat....then to finally take off the tint that the paint leaves behind, i used Testors Brush Cleaner it gets in the cracks and ridges and such
then i had this other brand, not sure what brand it was, the label came off...but i put that on a clear body, and it DIDNT come off with pinesol....so i was like...dammm....i threw that one away...i didnt want to bother taking that paint off, because it was horrable, it sagged and wrinkled
also, this only goes toward the clear bodies, i havent tried to take the paint off the original paint job of the bit bodies

i think VDOGG was talking about how to take off the original paint, not custom paint. and by the way MTL, the floor cleaner that has the "bald guy" on it is Mr. Clean, not PineSol. anyways, you still gave ME tips on how to take off a wacked up paint job.

u gotta leave it in there for like 24 hours or more to "loosen" up the paint....it wont dissolve if u leave it in there.....
when i took mine out to brush off, it was really flakey..so it was kinda easy

Yes, I was talkin about removing the factory paint. I like to paint my bodies from the inside so I dont want to paint over the factory paint. Has anyone tried paint thinner?

id say, just give it a test shot...
test the paint thinner on an extra spoiler or something
although i wouldnt recommend using paint thinner thats used for houses....it might eat the plastic because its too strong
if i had some, id test it out...

I tried using paint thinner on a 1/10 scale lexan body once, and it worked, but it fogged the body up pretty bad. I'll pick some up tomarrow and try it, I have several bodies, I can spare one if it dont work.

Don't use acrylic laquer thinner, it's melts the plastic quick. (yes that is speaking from experience. Shaddup! ) Unfortunately I'd say they are painted with acrylic paints since it is so durable. Acrylic is basically liquid plastic and it's fairly hard to remove from plastic without damage.
