How DO I Paint???? NEED HELP

I resently painted my audi TT that i got in my body kit gloss red and I used clear tape on the windows and stuff I had to cover and I made sure I pressed the edge of the tape so no paint would get under it but it still got sloppy on the edges. Please tell me how u guys do this sooooo good without screwing it up. I will post a picture of the audi soon.

Use masking tape. Cover the windows and overlap, then cut out the windows with an x-acto knife.

do you mean that cream colored tape? I know what masking is but sometimes people get different tapes mixed up.

I prefer Tamiya masking tape which can bought at the LHS, but any masking tape will do. Yes, it is the cream color tape you can find in the paint dept. at Wal Mart or such.

make sure you burnish the tape {rub along the edges} with a q-tip or unsharpened pencil , it will seal the edges

It's Tamiya spay paint (color TS38 gun metal)

You can buy it at good quality hobby shops.

It would be sweet to do the headlights in a silver metallic... maybe some silver highlights as well... but looks great anyway... love the spoiler
