what is the difference between the white and red gears?

all I know is white is gears and red is bearings...which does what?

In the AWD kit you'll get two red gears; one is the regular gear type (a.k.a. an open differential), the other is the ball bearing type.

Both allow different wheels to spin at diffrent rates (hence the name differential).

The open differential: Applies the same amount of torque to each wheel.

The ball bearing differential: (When used in the back w/ AWD) When one wheel slips, it allows more torque to be transferred to the non-slipping front wheels...thats why you get so much understeer.

Check out my Fully adjustable plate-type LSD Mod...it is very nice for drifting and IMO, much better than the ball bearing diff.
