Project BlitzKreig
ok well heres my boy, i know what you saying "were the hecks the body" and well its been prolonging my modding for too long so ive decided to save painting for the end... current mods include:
all r.s. upgrades except for bearings (my r.s. is sold out for now)
ive also doubled up the springs for road race stiffness, using double stock springs in the front, and double hard in the back. i also made a sway bay using a twist tie, which limits the shocks movement together (to increase traction) but still alows for individual movements on bumps. i also made a limited slip differential by tightening the ball bearing diff and adding vaseline lip balm (good results in my opinion). and finally i stuffed a 260 size motor in it (or atleast that what i think it is cause the sucker is huge, and a pain to get it)... its the big bad johnson motor ive been asking about and it works fine, excepts for the fact i had to angle my motor mounts for it to bind properly....
my only issuse is that its extremely loud, but kinda cool cause it sounds like a f1 car.. im also not seeing that great of an improvement, the acceleration is only slighter quicker than my s2 top speed, and it has slightly less top end, the motor is rated fpr 2.4volts and im running it on the stock 4.8, also the chassis gets extremely hot after only two minutes or use, ill most likely rip it out and pop in a NML XV motor... if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for the motor or anything please put them! and here are some pics

Blurriness... Out of focus, too close, wrong settings, moving the camera with a longer shutterspeed, ect...
Lots of things can cause it.

Host the pictures somewhere else and use the [IMG][/IMG] tags to put multiple pictures in a single post.
That motor, it's huge.
Can you get some audio of that?

ok please excuse my over posting but i beleive i have found some possible candidates...
Carban Brush Motor (flatened can)- http://b2ec.com/search/p.630.html
Carban Brush Motor (round can)- http://b2ec.com/search/p.631.html
and heres a pic of all the r/c car parts ive found from projects i did when i was younger... lol the huge motor was in my Air Devil which could wheelie and out run my friend on bike (20 MPH+ in a car that weights about 5 lbs)
Update: i tried both motors in the picture at 4.5 volt (3 aaa) both ran underpowered and slow, nor did they posess much torque, latter this week i will be investigating my "bigbad johnson motor" and try to get it to mesh properly using some parts from the pic...
probally rework my xmods drivetain

its at hobby stores under the hoppin' hydros section, called the big bad johnson motor, im not satisfied tho, it may be because i have it on an angle but its of equal performance to the s2 top speed, and my chips gets crazy hot after 5 mins of use, im currently looking for an alternative

I think once you get your mounting sorted it should work well. Sounds like you may need a FET upgrade to get the most out of that motor, though. If the car is getting hot, the current draw must be fairly high.
