Different tires will run differently with traction changes.
For cardboard, with turns you'd probably want about the stickiest tires you could get. (bit racer / hot wheels racer - orange tires) But, as you pick up dust off your track, they loose traction.
I can't really tell you what's best to run for a "7' cardboard track" unless I know what kind of driving you'll do.

Are you just doing hole-shots? (sticky rear, hardest you can find front)
Are you taking corners all one way? (usually about moderate grip, you don't want traction rolls)
Is it a road course? (usually the stickier the better)
Is it a rally course? (depends on the surface conditions)
