Nice work arch2b! If it's not too much trouble, how about posting pics in the thread here with the tutorial, and I will add it to the links for tips and mods.

i got them from 8000mcd.com or somethign like that. i got 20 for $20 about a year ago so i still have some and continue to use them as new project come along. (no, not selling any, i don't have too many left anyway)
if you do a search, you might come across a review of them and find the sales offer for 20 for 20. that's what i did and the guy honored the sale since it was still posted and it was over a year old.

thats sweet as hell. Do you think it puts any more strain on any electronics because of more power being drawn, as minimal as LEDs are?

whats the brightness level of those 8000mch LED compared to the other ones that come stock on the light kit. I'd liek em to be equal if not just a tiny bit dimmer then the headlights.

Just a matter of making the holes big enough.

I think the Command Logics are under 1000mcd. I asked about that in a big neon thread, and that's the response I got.

I don't think that I would want a light thats 8 times brighter then the headlight as a foglight... maybe if you put the 8000mch LEd in the headlight spot. But a foglight that bright doesnt seem veryu reasonable to me really.

the stock white led's seem to be about 2000 mcd because i compared it to these 2000 mcd led's i spliced in and they were about the same brightness but the command logic ones are whiter than mine (don't get kingbright brand leds......) www.lsdiodes.com has bright 3mm and 5mm leds for less than a buck each. they're rated thousands of mcd and i bought two diff white led's of 6000 and 8000 mcd and they seem closer to 3000+mcd but they're still very bright.

no, leds put a negliable drain on electronics. if you've seen my overlands, you would understand.
well, that's your preference. the headlights, while brite, do noting for you when driving in a darkened room. throw in some rallye stlye foglights at 8000 mcd and your good to go! you can't really understand the difference until you've seen them. i ran an oval track with another xmod with the light kit and i had a MUCH easier time.
thank you for those that offered compliments

very true... I don't do while lot of night driving or dark driving for that matter. If I were to do this mod (which I very well may) I think that I'm going to modify the headlight holes and put the 8000mcd LEDs up top and the stock ones on the bottom.
BTW wanna show me your overlands?
