Easy to do Decals
Heres my method of an easy to dp decal job..
1. accuire the picture of a decal you which to use, decalfx.com and decalzz.com are quite useful
2. copy paste the image to a photo editing program such as photoshop or arcsoft studio
3. scale down the image to 5 inches for a side decal and 1.5 to 2 inches for a hood decal then print on normal paper
4. now you must decide on the aproach for applying your decal, your first option is to stick on the decal like the supplied r.s. decals or you can make a stencil out of your decal (i prefer the stencil because theirs no lines and it gives your car a truly custom look) then choose your scenario below and follow the icooresponding nstructions
-For R.S. APPROACH-
1. place normal masking tape on your printed image and trace out the lines (you may have to print in black and white to beter see the lines
2. once the lines are traced carefully life the tape and put this peice of tape to the side for a minute
3.take two same lenght peices of tape and stick them together sticky side to sicky side
4.take the tape you drew on on place it on a side on the tape you made in #3, and then place a fourth peice of tape to the opposite side of which you applied the drawed on tape from #2
5.cut out the design, but do not cut over the part you are goin to use
6.peel apart the 2 outer layers of the cut out product (the outerlayers are easier to peel than the inner ones (the purpose of #3)
7.you now have two mirror image designs, so you can paint them to a deisred color by laying them (sticky side down) on a peice of paper, and spray painting them, once dried peel off and stick them to your car.
8 pat yourself on the back you made a custom decal
-For STENCIL APPOACH
1. place normal masking tape on your printed image and trace out the lines (you may have to print in black and white so beter see the lines
2. once the lines are traced carefully life the tape and put this peice of tape to the side for a minute
3.take two same lenght peices of tape and stick them together sticky side to sicky side
4.take the tape you drew on on place it on a side on the tape you made in #3, and then place a fourth peice of tape to the opposite side of which you applied the drawed on tape from #2
5.cut out your design but only removing the inner portion, the idea is that you only want the paint to go on where you cut away the tape
6.peel apart the 2 outer layers of the cut out product (the outerlayers are easier to peel than the inner ones (the purpose of #3)
7.you now have two mirror like stenciles, apply them to you car (you will have to trim around the stencil for it to fit) and cover the rest of the car that you do not wish to paint
8. paint the color of your choice or do a fade effect for serious pimpness
9. once the paint is dried peel off the stencle and the rest of the coverings and pat yourself on the back, you made a stencled paint job
