Potentiometer MOD

Just like to say that I'm new at this and got my first booster set the other day. I was tryin to adjust the potentiometer(pot) on the car and over adjusted it to the point of splitting it (adjustment screw inside) in half. I have been trying to find out if any one has the schematics for the 35Mhz booster or what ohmic value pot is on the board. Does anyone have the schematics or know where I can find them for this car? I have also been looking at doing the digi q board conversion http://www.tapspring.com/. Please help me?????!!!!!!!!

The problem is that isn't a pot. It's a variable coil (inductor). It's used to tune the frequency that the Bit receives. If it's not tuned appropriately, your Rx will not work very well.

Sorry, there isn't any comprehensive schematic for the PCB yet.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't even looked at it the circuit board that much and was going by the instructions for Mod 15 hence the POT. I appreciate your reply. Upon further inspection I noticed that it is a variable coil and even if I only knew a little and had even looked I would have noticed it doesn't have three terminals like a pot. I guess I'm going to have to convert my Bit Char G to a Bit Char Q. Thanks again Shacky!!

I to broke the platic slug in the so called "POT". I thought i had totally lost the frequency. But i then stuck a slug from one of my Bit clones into the "POT" but it didn not work. a few weeks later i decided to try it out.......and this time IT WORKED!!! I got back all the range i had. But now it seams likes its loosing its raneg again, i can only get 1 in of range!!! I opened the controller up and i think i have found the culprit (the blue antenna wire had only a few threds soldered onto the metal plate which connects to the wire antenna. I'm going to solder it back tommorrow and do the telescoping antenna mod also. Hopefully that will give me much more range......
