Red face *RANT* "Rate an Xmod" is a crock...

I don't know if anybody else has been browsing xmodsrc.com, but the "rate an XMod" section is a joke. They plainly state the rule that only XMods bodies can be displayed, which of course I had to test by submitting my MINI and one of my 'Vettes. Of course they got rejected. It wouldn't really bother me, as the rules were clear. However, I have seen a WRX, a Focus, and at least two pictures of real cars in there. One is a white Skyline that the submitter photochopped out the backdrop, the other is a green Civic with Altezzas that is blatantly obvious.

Oh, and then there are a bunch of pics where people just ripped the pictures off of the Radio Shack website and posted them up as their own cars.

There are some pretty crappy pics up there, too. Pictures in the dark, pictures badly out of focus, pictures the size of a postage stamp so you can't see anything at all. If you are trying to show off your car, at least make an effort to get the best possible picture. In these days of digital cameras and photoshop, there is little excuse for posting a bad pic. If it comes out bad, either take another pic, or else fix it in photoshop.

And then there is the blatant "sex sells" pic with "Francine Dee" with a stock red Supra with some stickers on it. I think I'm going to get a girl to pose on all fours with my car on her thong-cladden butt. Wonder how it'd rate?

OK, I'm done now...

what do you expect.

Look at half the pic's on this forum. Most of them are either, too small, out of focus or poorly light.

People, hold the camera steady, about 1ft away and use either a longer shudder speed in the dark, or get a flash.

also resize the pic down to a 800x600 pic so people with all resalutions can view it.

/rant

Im not saying all the people on this forum dont know how to take pics, cause ive seen a bunch of people who take really nice pics, im just saying that i see more pics on this forum that i cant tell whats going on in, then any other forum im on.

Even in the top ten, there is a car that cannot be an XMod Body!

How NON X-Mod is that!?!?! I'd like to know if ANY X-mod has working doors. I doubt it!

But look closely at the hood. You can see the four posts that are used to screw it down. Judging by that and by the fit, I'm thinking it could be an Xmod body. Unless the die cast model is actually 1/28th scale.

I've seen some 1/28th scale DieCast.

(For a brief moment I thought about getting one for the body, but the weight changed my mind.)

ROFL.... Somebody actually had the balls to steal one of my pics from the RSX gallery, crop it, and post it!

Look familiar?

Actually, this same person has swiped pics from Bad Company as well, as I just saw his yellow "beater" Skyline as well...

Here's more examples of the kind of crap I'm talking about...

This is obviously a real car...

Way to post the ad picture... Moron.

Nice try photoshopping the ad picture...

Nice screengrab from NFS Underground...

Here's a pic of a Mini-Z, stolen directly off of Kyosho's site...

Man neurokinetik, I know what you mean. I mean look at this picture. Its not even an XMOD! Its a model and it was on the XMODS "rate-a-car". Man these people are crazy.
