What motor do i have here?

I have recently got into micro RC and as a result I got a lot of shen qi wei cars

Now out of the box they all had the same 2.8 motors in them except one

Now this particular one I wasn’t going to mod or even mess with as my little brother got it for me for xmas but when I tested it just now it was faster then all the other shen’s I have. “Even my duel cell”

Upon closer inspection I found that it didn’t have the same 2.8 motor as all the other shen’s had but it had a blue motor in it “see pic”



anyone know what motor this is as its way faster then the pink orangey one?

Not positive about this but it looks like it MAY be a 3.4, because both the ZZ hop up motor and Nascar Motorworks have that motor, and it has similar color (yours looks a tad bit lighter, but it may have been your camera flash, if it was on). Then again, the only real way to know motor RPMs in the Clone World is to either contact the manufacturer or use an RPM gauge.

It's funny, but the color codes seem to mean nothing on clone motors.

Those pinkish/orange lookin' ones look just like the one that come in Thunder Chargers, and that blue one looks just like the ones I've seen on MicroSpeed Cars, an oddball Cannonball, and one oddball Thunder Charger had one too. They all look just like a ZZ NXEx 3.4, but are not as fast as that or the pinkinsh orange ones I have.

Now you found one in a Shen, and it's faster. Go figure.

yeah, without the flash it looks more like the NX 3.4 motor, but you never know...

whats a shen qi wei car and why havent i heard of them where do you guys get them?

They are a very CHEAP car useful for modding and using if you don't want to buy a full priced car.

I was lucky enough to pick up one more blue motor but out of 30 cars I checked there was only one car with the blue motor in

On a plus side we where also given a lot of faulty cars!

At one stall me and my friend got 5 shen’s for £1 each “there was nothing wrong with them”

And at another stall we got 5 panthers for free and she told use to come back tomorrow for more.

I’m building quite a collection of cars now

Got to say though the shen’s have a much better build quality in the stirring and workings but the panthers are so slow but they do have transparent windows

I wouldn't mind finding out the rating on all these pink Precious Dome Clone motors I have. So-so performance.

The blue clone motors I have all suck.

And I have ALOT of clone motors.

All I know is that the shen qi well cars came pretty fast stock as they beat all the other cars that my brother and my friend has.


The panthers on the other hand don’t get a look in as they are very slow compared to the shens and they look like the stirring was an after thought, the motors on the panthers don’t come close to being fast

Do you have any shen motors to test? I just wish I had a way to test them.

Update the second blue motor I got is very different in color from the first.

1st one is the new one and the 2nd one is the one I’m trying to identify


It makes the first motor i got look almost purple
