Awd
is the AWD upgrade worth it? does it really give you more grip and better handling or anything?

AWD
yes get it and make it front wheel drive instead of all wheel drive or reear wheel drive it will make it more responsive and you can drift them even better now with it
have you noticed how when you turn one of the rear wheels the other one will turn the oppisite way
when you put the front wheel drive on it they will both move the same way abd you can go faster and get quicker take offs

lol front wheel drive shouldn't be better at drifting. i think what you're experiencing is understeer
there's been many threads on the subject of the awd kit's value and yeah, it's been pretty much agreed by everyone that it's worth it. and besides, it can be disabled by taking out part to revert to rwd.
when you turn one wheel in one direction and the wheel on the opposite side turns the other way, that's an open differential, aka gear diff. the one where both wheels go forward is the ball diff. it helps limit the slip so you dont' lose traction but makes turning a bit harder than the gear diff.
if there was more weight in the front like the motor in front, then the front wheel drive mod would be worth looking into for its realism but as of now with the bulk of the weight in the middle and towards the rear with the motor back there, it's hard to get traction on the front wheels unless you put some lead weights up there but that too slows it down with unnecessary weight

the AWD kit is worth it. and FWD is better for drifting ive found. but its no good for drag racing or racing in general because you get too much wheel spin
