Dual Cell
Simple question. Can you Dual cell an SE, and if so what voltage can they handle. All this talk about FET moding has me thinking their may be a FET used as a voltage regulator, in which case a dual cell would be useless

Welcome to the forums.
First off, The SE already has a dual cell battery inside. You will need another SE battery, then make a quad cell. As for the FET mods, no they aren't voltage regulators. In fact, they allow MORE voltage to go to the motor, making the car faster.

Ok, so it can handle 4.8v? I've got a cool schematic drawn up for a 9 mode power supply using two single pole triple throw switches. It would allow each battery to run individually(define battery as 2.4v power source), both in series, or both in parallel. Sound cool?

Yeah, it can take 4.8 volts..maybe even 6...maybe...
And, yes it sounds very cool......switching from parallel to series..... let us know how the project comes along!

From what I've read, it has a separate voltage regulator, and a dual cell is useless, unless you have FETs.
