Drove one today
I drove a demo Skyline XMod at my local RS today. The girl said the manager had installed one of the Stage 1 motors, but otherwise was stock. It drove OK but seemed very slow compared to my teen son's mini-z with a stock motor. I'm probably going to buy one anyway, but will the available hopups get it runnin' with my son's car. We'd like to do some porch racing.

if you were running it on carpet with a higher gear ratio than that was probably the thing that bogged it down. try getting the stage 2 motors and running red gears. it wont be as good as teh mini z but if you just want a porch car its a great deal. i love mine for just driving around in the street with friends

I agree, now. Got a Skyline XMod today with many extras. Nice car! Ran against my son's mini-z on the porch and got beat barely, but I still haven't installed any performance mods yet. This RS car has got potential and is a hoot to drive. Love the body kit as well. My Zips just seem a little boring, now.
