"Daddy Thornberry" Didn't Survive!

Hehe, I've been thinking of doing this for quite sometime now, but couldn't bring myself to spend a dime fo the Wild Thornberrys body upgrade kit LOL! Anyhow, since I got the kit for free when I bought my Jeep Wrangler with the Internet coupon over at Radio Shack's web site, I figured I'd try my own lame excuse for a body "mod".

I figured that the Jeep that Daddy Thornberry drives would look pretty cool, that is if he was removed from the Jeep. So I simply amputated him from the Jeep and the result is a respectable looking olive drab military styled Jeep -

The Jeep survived the amputation operation unscathed, but unfortunately Daddy Thornberry didn't make it. After giving him a proper burial (read: the nearest garbage can LOL!), and a bit of touch up from the surgical incisions, the Jeep actually looks fairly nice -

May Daddy Thornberry rest in peace, God be with him, RIP, etc... etc... LOL!

yeah, I got the Spongebob body set with one of my ZZse's, I actually like it cause with all it's front end weight, it makes both front wheels stay down on the ground (I always seem to have one ZZse where one wheel stays off the ground at times, making it steer funny)

Hehe, I already distributed the rest of the WT bodies. I gave the Comvee to my dad (him and my mother are heavily into motorhome camping), the ATV to my nephew, and the "golf cart" to the kid down the street -

For the Comvee and ATV, my father and nephew already have plans of repainting them. My dad is gonna make his look like their Bounder motorhome, and my nephew is gonna amputate the Thornberry Monkey off of the ATV and do a custom red paint job (ala Honda) -

@jbach39, while I don't condone the purchase of a Sponge Bob or Wild Thornberrys body kit (free or otherwise) ROTFL, one thing that's neat about both of them is their sheer size. True (in the case of the WT bodies), the chassis move much slower because of the additional weight of those bodies, but they look damn cool tooling along because of their larger size -

A camo paint job would be nice on that body.

Smile

While I like SpongeBob, I wouldn't have bought the set, however, since it was free, I picked that as opposed to the Wt set or the chrome X2 RX8 body

Hey, if you have plans on buying any other ZipZap starter kit on or before Oct. 31 2003, do not pay for the WT body kit, get the coupon for a free WT kit here -

BTW, attached is a pic of several more angles of the Daddy Thornberry Jeep -
