It is possible and the added torque is good. It's a pretty simple mod and there are two ways to do it that I've seen.
My way is to use solder tape that can be found at RS. I can elaborate later here's a pic for now.

Solder tape are small strips of solder.
Here's a link to them.
http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=64%2D010

I basically extended the original motor contact to envelop the second motor on top of the first. You will also need to shave a bit of the chassis where the second motor's pinion will contact the gear.

I'm still kinda new at this hobby.....what exactly is torque? I hear that it is the amount of time it takes to hit top speed.....So more torque means it takes longer to hit top speed??? I'm confused........ And how exactly does a second engine affect performance????????

You can think of torque as gripping power. The more torque the better the car will hold ground. It is also good when you need pushing or pulling power. The truck in the pic is heavy, so I need all the torque I can get to get it moving.

um...torque is a turning or twisting force. Opening a pickel jar lid requires torque. Turning an axle requires torque. As for holding the ground...well I think that's gravity. Anyway, too much torque will cause your car to spin it's wheels, or even wheely.

touque=power + acceleration(do to power)
Speed=speed
you want a balance of the two, i think thats why bits/zz have such big wheels, compare them to the awesome rc cars (horrible traction do to to much touque becuase of small wheels) big wheels = speed, small wheels = touque, the reason the big wheels are hard to push isnt only the wieght of tires, its the change of the gear ratio.

Clear as mud?

I guess I over simplified the definition of torque.
Thanks for the info there about why the wheels stay on the ground, I was perplexed up until now. (another big ole) (for you)

You want a strict definition? Here ya go.

torque1
(tôrk)
n.
The moment of a force; the measure of a force's tendency to produce torsion and rotation about an axis, equal to the vector product of the radius vector from the axis of rotation to the point of application of the force and the force vector.
A turning or twisting force.
tr.v. torqued, torqu·ing, torques
To impart torque to.

If you wanna add something constructive to help this kid understand or correct someone, cool, but don't go acting the smartass.

Here's a good explanation for ya charliebrown.

You can roll your eyes all you want, but providing inaccurate information..."The more torque the better the car will hold ground." does more harm than good. It's not over simplified, it's just plain wrong. Was just trying to clear things up is all. Sorry if I offended you.

I gave it some more thought, and torque might actually help hold one side of the car down, that's if you have massive amounts, like say top fuel dragster...so in fairness and as a sign of good will, I recant my smartassness and conceed that your statement was partially correct.

TORQUE... the more torque the better in my opinion... i dont race these things yet... but i love spinning the wheels... poppin wheelies and such... if youve ever messed arond with those lego mindstorm( motors and gears with regular lego peices) kits youd know about torque... the engines (motors) that come with the ZZ or even the after market stuff have no torque...if they did... they wouldnt be geared down as they are ( geared down... a small gear on your motor connected to a bigger gear results in less revolutions for the big gear than the small... thus substituting speed for power {TORQUE}).Im thinking of linking 6 stock motors 3 on each side... all around the axle gear.... eliminating one of the gears and giving me a killer top end while hopefully not losing to much torque....
