Clones
What are the cheapest clones I can buy? And where can I buy them? The only clone I bought cost as much as my microsizer sport, its motor was connected by wires and not terminals, and it wouldn't drive straight. I'm thinking motorworks might work for me. I just want some "guinea pigs" for my "experiments"

problably one of the cheapest clones out there is the LXX Char-G and it is virtually Identicle to Microsizers and Bit Char-G, but the only place that I know of to get it would be Toyeast.com, and they are in Asia so shipping is a litte- /\
Someone correct me if there is a cheaper place to get them including s&h, but toyeasts lowest price for them is around $6
but unfortunatly shipping would be about that or higher too. Hope this helps.

oh btw I have a motorworks and the motor is also connected by wires (aka 'hardwiring'). but they are nice clones with great top end (3.2-3.5 motor equivlent) and tons of torque

if you want a good clone get a shen qi wei i have one and just put the microsizer stearing in it (nothing turns like a bit) and with the power of the stock motors its a monster, it was climing up an incline almost 45 degrees, it was slow as a crawl but damn

If nothing turns like a bit, then why take the steering out of the bit? Seems kinda silly to sacrifice a bit to make a clone steer better.
I'm with denden, buy a Thunder Charger for 5 bucks at BigLots. I have 3, and they all steer perfectly, have great tires, strong motors and decent range. The bodys suck, but once you do some filing on the tabs, bit bodys will fit great. For the money Micro S2000 has tied up in a Shen with Microsizers steering, you could buy 5 Thunder Chargers.

motorworks, love it, dual celled it had to take it off because it just went to fast, moved the dual cell to my zz, now both of them are about the same speed(havent raced them same feq so it just by driving them separtly,sp) this thing pulls wheelies! i have now given up on ms and bit because of motorworks. who needs to replace an already fast motor anyways? they have long ones(a little longer than zz), short ones (pulls wheelies, mostly compitable with a bit), tanks (slow climbers, anything it cant climb it flips it over), and repackaged nkok boats and cars(cant stand the cars, boats are fun).
all for 12.99 at your local walmart. doesn't beat the thunder chargers in price, but they are high quality, and their charger also charges dual cells.

no it wasnt responding, i had it sent to me by microsizers, brand new if it wasnt on the controler it wouldnt move. i tried to change the frequency like the other car i had but i didnt have any luck with that either, if i re assemble it it would be in running order as soon as a controler could get it to work

I never knew that Motorworks were that good. My local walmart doesn't have any tanks yet, just the short and long ones.
The clone I bought cost me 20$ at the mall, a complete ripoff. It sucked so badly I gave it away, but I regret not salvaging its motor and battery.
It said "Thor Racing Car" on it. Oh well, what's done is done.

I think I'll go for those Thunder Chargers, do they have hardwired motors?
