Ahh5hit's wheel shop.
I have heard other people talk about using the Modifiers wheels, but never seen pics. I picked up the new deluxe kit today which comes with 4 sets of wheels. These are a little harder to mod than most wheels, but they are really nice. They are actually metal, so they have a real alloy look to them. Also, you can switch out the wheels easily by pulling the wheel and tire right off the hubs and switching. There is a piece of rubber on the hub that holds them on and keeps them from slipping. You do have to put a little glue between the tire and wheel to keep the tire from slipping. It also comes with a cool little stand that looks like a minature wheel shop and has a storage built in.

There are other styles than these in the different car kits. Some are a little bigger with less of a low profile look.

What scale modifiers are those wheels for?
Where did ya find them?
I only find the modifiers cars and the 1/64s have crappy wheels IMO.

They are 1/43 scale. I believe the are a new set. It was a deluxe kit that had 3 extra sets of wheels. I had always passed the modifiers up until I saw these. I found these at Target for $9.99.

Grrrrrrrr Ahh5hit, you beat me to it! I have been planning to do that mod for a while now but I still can't get the wheels of of the knuckles! I have one halfway out, but the pin is bending...........do you always have to be the one that does the best mods first? Man, I thought I would be able to get some glory for doing this mod, but I guess not.........thanks Ahh5hit. You jerk! Hahahah j/k

The only slipping I was experiencing was the tires slipping on the rims. A guick dab of glue corrected that. There is a piece of rubber around the hub that holds the wheels on by press fit. I haven't noticed any slipping there yet, but I really can't see that when this little bugger is flying across the floor. I haven't noticed any problems playing with it.
The good thing about these....once you do one initial mod, you can just swap out the rims. Buy two kits and you will have enough hubs to do one full wheelset and the other two rear gear colors.
You may have to be carefull when purchasing these. I noticed some of the other wheels had regular profile tires and were a little larger. The ones I got were low profile and are as large as you can go without dremeling the fenders in the front for turning. I will prolly go back today and try to find some more with different wheels and check it out.

I feel your pain, ugh. One time I planned on putting a mini model rocket engine on the back of my car as a temporary booster jet......and then somebody took credit for it.......

I'm not taking credit for the idea at all. I stated in my first post that I heard other people talk about it, I just never saw any pics. Plus I figured I would show the new deluxe kits with the extra wheels included.
