My Target has the KIT racers, but still no dice on the $20 MicroSizers. I'm hoping they keep the KIT racers around, because it is a very inexpensive way to get extra motors and batteries. There's gotta be a way to adapt the KIT charging base to use on the BCG cars.......

go check Target soon - i went to the Target up in Palisades, NY and they were selling KIT RACERS for $1.98 on clearance! i picked 2 up just for the 'hard' tire sets and 2.6 motors!

Still $3.98 at Albany Target, cheap enough for me to buy a couple.

I guess it looks like Target is going to stop carrying the KIT racers if they are blowing them out for $2. I thought $5.88 was a good price, regular price was like $12 - and for 12 bucks, you can just about buy a clone to take parts off of. KayBee Toy still has them for $5.95, and they have the Rally Racers clones (Shen Qi Wei) for $14.95.

all the targets here in the bay area, CA are completely out of the kit racers. even the tracks were gone also. my guess would be they weren't selling well at all thus resulting in the price drop. and now since its the new year, they decided to ship them back to the company in place of newer 2003 products.

as far as i know, the kit racers only came with either the 2.2 or 2.6 motor. i have not seen any that came with a 3.0 motor.

you knowthat3:43 isntall that its cracked up to be - the amt of torque needed to get it up to speed is crazy = the 3.0 definitely doesnthaveit, andthe 2.6 can moveit slowly but it would take foreverto take advantage of that topspeed. well maybe when the 3.5 dks comes itll have the combo i need to fully use this ungodly gear. btw i got the kit at TRU for 7 bucks.

KIT GEars
How did you guys get those rear KIT wheels on your Bit? The KIT's rear wheel's are about 1/32 in too short to snap in. I suppose you could dremel the little nub on the left hand side of the Bit off.. Any ideas, has anyone done this? Cause those KIT racers scream with the 2.6 engine and the blue gears.

I modified the axle to fit the BCG chassis by trimming the hub a little with a hobby knife. My car took forever to get to top speed, but it was pretty fast. The KIT racers scream with the tall gearing because they are a lot lighter than a BCG, and the motors getting direct power from the battery vs. going through the circuit board first. A clone 2.2 motor that was a dog in a BCG performed much better in the KIT chassis on my son's Hot Wheels track. If someone could figure a way to beef up the motor drive circuitry on the BCG, then the tall gear ratios would work much better.
