Question X4 Batteries

I was curious, does anybody know if HPI Micro Batteries will fit on the X4? Because I am getting an X for by B-Day and just wanted to know if they will work. (Its nice to be able to go for longer that 10 min. ) If these dont fit, would Mini-X battery Packs fit?
-->George

Sorry but no, no, and no!

The X4 uses six 1/3 AA cells. The Mini-X uses 4 or 6 AAA cells. I don't know what pack you are using for your micro???

If you want the X4 to last longer buy the 250mah NiMh cells.

But, you could perhaps fit some of these packs in the SP if you're creative about it!

Can I charge the ABC batteries by using the tamiya plug adapter from the micro to change over the plugs Tiny RC? or should I just buy an MRC Super Brain 959 Charger?

The connector should work, but more importantly, does your current charger have adjustable charging rates?

No. It is a 15 min. fast charger for a 6 to 7 cell battery. (w/ the Tamiya connector)

GOD no, don't use that!!!!!

You need a charger where you can regulate the amps.

Sorry

Hardtrukr, as gertman points out, your fixed rate charger will not work for smaller packs, you need something like this:

Email us and we can figure out the best charger for you and give you a great deal on it too. Thanks!

How long does that take for a full charge?! And would I need a connector conversion from the micro to use it? Thanks

Exclamation HELP!!!!!

I was going to make a battery pack for my X4 with 5 Ni-MH AAA cells. It would add up to:

-->7.5 volts
--->3000Mah (700 per cell, right. or would it be a 700)

1st ----- can this be used with a 7.2 volt system?

2nd ---- Could I charge something like this on a 6-7 cell fixed-rate charger?!

Thanks again guys!

Hardtrukr 5 1.2V cells is 6V, not 7.5, and the mAh of the pack would still be 700. And no, you still couldn't charge w/ a 6 cell fixed rate because it would be way too many amps.

YES,

Please read carefully Hardtrukr:

You are NOT going to be able to charge ANY battery pack that is small enough to fit inside your X4!! PERIOD!

Please buy a variable rate charger, I would be happy to suggest a few good ones

Hehe. I am on that one Gertman. (soon)
TinyRC, whoops I was looking at regular alkalines (energizer E2) But this may be crazy!

Plans:
---6 cells
----Energizer ACCUcharge 700Mah batteries OR GP 750Mah batts.
-----HPI battery wires

P.S.--TinyRC, thanks for looking for an MRC!
