Exclamation Glued PCB covers?

I bought a new 49mhz 350Z zipzap about a week ago and it looks like the the clear PCB cover came in the box glued down by like a hot glue gun or something. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this on new ZZ's. I also have a champagne Civic and the car did not come with the cover glued.

Yep my 350z was glued aswell, it's probably for some kind of indication to tell if the PCB has been fooled with or not... for returns ya know. They probably had a problem with kids screwing around under the hood and breaking their car, then bringing it back to exchange... *shrug* just a guess.

Like I said it's probably for POST sale, protection. So the stores can protect themselves from getting returns wherein the warranty has been voided.

Say someone brings in their ZZ to an RS and claims that "...it just stopped working", when in reality it was a dual cell mod gone terribly wrong and fried the PCB. Well all the RS salesman needs to do is see if the PCB cover had been tampered with and proceed from there to find that it had been altered, which would obviously void the warranty.
Because this i'm sure was the case on occasion with the first release of the ZZ. And now they've a booby-trap of sorts.

hehehehe booby...
