I wouldn't of helped you a few weeks ago but I'm on a mission to upgrade from Tiny RC Village Idiot to Tiny RC Scrap-Dog Professor (Don't ask)
Try epoxcy (sp?) you can also try glueing it in & working the glue a little bit so it spins just fine but stays in. My bud had this prob & we didn't have epoxcy to fix it. We didn't try the glue but o-well
Good Luck

All I do is slip a little piece of a match into the slot below the motor (on the underside of the car) and it holds it in there quite good.

yeah i have epoxy here at the house but i want somone who's used it to answer and tell me how they did it and i also read about using a small tube and putting the axel in the tube and it worked i want to try this tube mod but i need to know where they got the tube from and what size it is im off to the hardwearstore now with my axel to see if they sell the size tube i need im thinking if the tube is the right size the car will be alot faster and quieter also, becouse ill be able to use some kind of lube in the tube hehe rimes. the epoxy will be my choice if i cant find the tube i need and i also found a thread where "kingofjapan" used a ball bearing on both sides ot the axel this mod sounds sick but i dont know where to find the bearings and i dont buy online i dont have acces to a credit card.

what i did was take part of a match and slide through an opening in the center near the axle as described in the pic. make sure the match goes over the axle, not under it. so far it works very well. the match is stiff enough to hold the axle so the gears touch, yet not rough to the point where the axle won't spin at all. heres a pic

Wooden ones wouldn't fit, they are too thick. I use the cardboard matches, and besides, even if you DID use wood, you would want to be able to bend it down a little, because they match puts too much friction on the axle, and slows the car down. Cardboard matches are the way to go!

ok i know everyone is gonna want a pic of what i finnaly came up with but i dont have a digi cam or a scanner or a way of drawing a pic so ill explane it the best i can. i tried the match thing and the damn axle sticks maybe my matches are to thick or somthing so i was digging around the garage today and i found a plastic tube perfect size of the axle and i cut a piece to fit where the axle goes in. i took one of the back wheels off and slide the tube on the axle then put the wheel back on and poped the tube in the chassie now the axle fits tighter then stock and its quiter and if you can find the right size tube to use you can put some baby powder or do what i did i used wax from a candle and the car is so damn fast alot faster than before and quieter too. thanks for everone's help on this problem i had mabe ill try the epoxy thing on my duell cell when that axle gets loose but so far so good.

or you can epoxy your axle into the chassis. this is a permanent solution and will not cause added friction. if done right it will reduce friction. search on "epoxy rear axle"

I looked at the topic, I saw the last person to reply (hogjowlz), and I knew that I was going to read about "epoxy", "JB Weld", and/or the rear axle LOL
I swear he's a marketing type sales person for JB Weld
seriously though, I do plan on trying it someday...
he might be a retarded stunt driver, but every now and then he nails it... just like with the "franks and beans"
