first off they need to have a strong knowlege of the topic they're moderating for instance in the TTTT subforum arch2b was given moderator status by tinyrc the administrator because tinyrc thought he had the most knowlege in the subject and they're was no moderator assigned to it either. also i think u need more posts than u have right now for the simple reason that if u have been posting alot and helping people chances are u would be a good moderator. they wouldn't want to give moderator status to someone with only 5 posts because he might end up being someone who is flaming and spaming the boards and abusing his privilage of being a moderator.
