The Ultimate Range

Why dont we just mod a 40 mhz radio set thats used for bigger scale racing? We'd get a nice transmission then!!!!!

But--- they do enoy eating batteries
They are bigger
and u gotta b careful not to poke ne1 with the aerial!!!

Mayb we could amplify the existing controllers aerial???? shouldn't b 2 hard.

Ne1 have an idea?

Bet that had a nice range!!!!

Would b good 2 mod the char g transmitter with an amp, or if we coul use a mobile phone aerial, like an erriccson stubby 1, or an internal type, but i dont think it'd b that easy!!!!!

that was one of the first thing my friend said when he saw my zipzap controller so many moons ago(hehe like 2 or 3) was to attach it to a linear amp and you could run it a block away.

we never did it. instead he added a 3rd battery to the controller and i put a longer antenna in it. that alone trippled the range. now i have 2 clones with plenty of range so we never bothered with that. i could ask him about it next time i see him.

Heres what i wrote in the dodg bit!

How comes u changed to the clones? price or couldnt b bothered w fiddling with them 1 s?

How did the controller cope with the extra battery?

I have an idea on how to make the original char g transmitter dual speed!!!!!

Use the normal forward for full speed,
and have an additional button just above it for slower careful bits, ie corners.

To do this, this, a pulsing circuit (or flashing led,as it can b used for pulsing) would b connected from the bottom of the forward switch, to the new SLOW button, then this would connected to just above the forwadr switch.

The pulsing would stop the full throttle signal being sent, rather than spinning the car out, but get to a straight, then push the forward button!!!

ne ideas?????
