Steering Problem
i just got the evo couple weeks ago, and i dicided to upgrade the sterring to 4.5 from the stock, now when i installed it, one wheel isn't straight, so i tried the other 2, same thing, when i put the stock one on, it's fine?
is it a defect in the plastic?

when you give it a higher toe in angle the front wheels are supposed to be angled in. this gives it a tighter turning radius because of the whole way steering works not gonna explain but can lower top speed. if one wheel is angled and the other is straight then ur wheels arn't centerted so you wont go straight, they should both be turned in the same amount. the rs plastic ones arn't very precise and can have high tolerences, for example the stock one isn't even 0 deg. it's like .5. what you should do is get gpm ones and they are all cut to prefection so your turning will be smoother and more accurate. thats what i'm about to do.

well i'm not sure between gpm and hot racing but gpm is i think the more known one and more popular so i would get that but the desision is up to u unless a diff in price. i think you should first off get a 0 deg rod and then worry about the other ones later since this is the best for all around driving. the more toe in the tighter the turning radius but ur car will not be able to go as fast because off friction. so if you have have a very curvey track with not alot of straights then go with 4.5 or 3. but for straights u need the 0 deg.

The tie rods are rated for different angles, the greater the number, the greater the angle between the tires. If you put the 4 degree tie rod in, your tires will be toed in four degrees, ie, not straight. As stated this will improve turning radius and reduce top speed.
