Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3
To anyone looking for a good racing game, and just happens to have about 22 bucks sitting around, GO GET THIS GAME NOW. You will not be disappointed, I feel that if Genki would advertise this game, it would eclipse NFSU in sales. I know yer thinkin "20 bucks for a PS2 game? It must suck.." No. Its a direct port of Shutokou Highway Battle 01, which was NOT a budget game in its homeland of Japan, for those of you familiar, there are now weather conditions (rain and snow) which will make your handling vary, licensed cars this time around (and alot of them. More than NFSU, and better.) Even more customization than before, you can change your taillight and blinker color if you wanted to.. You can even paint your car pixel by pixel, to get whatever you'd like on it (Better have a USB mouse for that one..its hard to do with the analog stick, and don't worry, any USB mouse will do.) Gameplay is much better this time around, the graphics are improved, and there are even three way battles now. The SP battle system has greatly improved and works better than ever. All and all, for getting this great of a game, at such a low price, you'd be a little off NOT to buy this game. Its the best game that nobody is playing right now..I've already spread the word throughout the school, and have an army of people telling others of its greatness, and converting the NFSU players. In short, this game is incredible. Go buy it. Right now. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the game.
EDIT: Forgot to mention...so far, EB, Best Buy, and Toys R Us stores seem to have the game in stock, seems it was shipped kinda funky. But it is out there. Keep your eyes peeled, and just for the heck of it, a few of my car specs:
530 PS/8800 RPM
654x2 CC
44.0 KGM/7200 RPM
1208 KG's
Last recorded top speed: 200.43 MPH
(Theres more, but I kept it simple.)

Heh, that makes my day. As long as I've convinced somebody to give it a shot, thats all that matters. Its an incredible game, and like I said, everything you loved about Zero is back, but this time, you can y'know..CONTROL your car. Haha..it wasn't that bad in Zero, but the physics were a lil fishy..they're good in 01 (3..) I mostly drive RX-7's though..so I've got a nice power to weight ratio, and RX-7's are handling beasts anyway. I've got an FD and an FB (rockin it old school..the 1978-1985 model =P) I've got a Fairlady (Z33 350 Z) Z as well, but I got it for my girlfriend to drive in the game (she likes 350's alot), I don't like it much, but it'll be sweet once I engine swap it, you really feel pretty helpless in an N/A car in that game..with a lack of turbo to boost you once bosses start catching up in the straights, you're screwed. But I guess its fun for a challenge..I love the engine swaps on that game, imagine yourself blasting down the streets of Tokyo in a godly turbocharged V8 powered Trueno >.> heh. Anywho, yeah man, go buy the game, NOW. I highly reccomend it. Ignore what magazines say just because Crave/Genki don't pay them off to say that the game rocks..if you check www.gamefaqs.com 's reviews of the game, they're the most honest available (they're people who went out and bought the game themselves). Game Informer is basically the only magazine who didin't crap all over the game. But still didin't do it justice. (Although their custom paint jobs did look pretty good..), as a TXR/Racing fan, you will NOT at all be disappointed.

Hm..it might not be available yet, but when it is, it might have been released under its original name of "Tokyo Highway Challenge 01" or something like that. Maybe even just "Shutokou Highway Battle 01". It'll be out there soon.
