I have not installed a 210 bat yet but the way you would have to do it is by installing it lengthwise. For a lil clarity The bat would have to lay in the chassis the whole length, front to back. You would also have to cut out the lil nub on the bottom in the chassis. You would have to wire the contacts of the bat to the contacts of the car. It can be done with some modding, but I think it's more of a pain than just putting in a 150 or 160mah bat. The 210's I got are freakin long and I'm assuming you got the same.

Those are absolutely the batts to which I am refering. I was figuring on taking out that nub and I guess soldering some leads from the contacts to the batt. That being said I am dreading the thought of soldering in that little compartment. Any suggestions that would avoid that would be appreciated! I've got my champagne civic to experiment on so here goes.....

You could always solder some scrap metal pieces to the wires that are conected to your bat and then either glue or tape those contacts to the cars contacts. Like I said it's hella hassle to fit them in and even more of a hassle to get duals in there. You can easily fit 3 160mah bats in the chassis and the runtime is only slightly diminished. I'm saving the 210s for an epoch.

I'll play around with it a little bit in the 27mhz. Question for you on charging, will the standard zz controller actually charge a single 210?

You shouldn't have a problem charging a single cell on a stock controller.
Good luck

That being said, how much will I really gain from a just adding in a single 210? Would it just be for added run time or would I also get more umph?

Yeah, but a 210 you would have to charge like 5 times to get the benefit out of it. I charge my 150mah 4 times to get it charged all the way.

Oh and one more thing. You said you were going to use the 210 in your Epoch. If they're taller, they won't fit in the std. battery compartment. You'll have to put them elsewhere on the car. I tried to use a ZZ cell for my 4cell mod, and it was BARELY able to fit in the compartment. It's pretty tight.

Hmmm, I haven't gotten my epoch yet so I'm going to take your word for it.

So based upon what you two are saying, if I do indeed want to get more speed out of the car, I just need to go ahead and do a dual with the 210s. Correct?

Yes you would need a dual cell for speed increase. The best way to charge them would be with a stand alone charger.

I did a 6cell mod and it made my PCB hot. It ran like crap too. I think it was too much juice for it to drink. I wouldn't go over 4 if I were y'all.
