Finally got my MINI X

Well, I finally got my Mini X. I was soooooo impressed with this thing. Not to mention my New Mini Cooper model will fit on it perfect. I am going to run the ES-01 ESC, HiTec Shredder Receiver and I am going shopping for a Micro Servo tomorrow. I will post pictures when I get bodies done.

Cool! Careful you don't overload the ES-01, it can't take too much power.

If I am running stock motor and 4 AAA batteries, will the ES-01 handle it?

Yeah, you're fine with stock gear, just be careful how much you mod it.

Thanks for the advice. What kind of servo should I use? It looks to be a very small micro servo. Do you know a good one that doesn't cost more than $25 USD? Any help would be great!

I haven't tried this in the Mini-X, but I really like the Hitec HS-81MG for other tiny RCs such as the Micro and DTM SP.

How do I mount it? They give you a clear mount that I guess is suppose to replace the servo cover, but I can not find a servo that small anywhere. Help please!

You can use a Cirrus CS-20 servo and I think a few others from Cirrus will work.

Remove the front cover from the servo and replace it with the one your car came with.

Also be carfull with the ES-01 as the stock MiniX motor is not your standard 130 motor! Take it out and turn the shaft you will find what nitro guys call loots of thump! This is a 70 Turn motor with strong magnets. Buy the MiniX electronics package from Tiny RC and save yourself the trouble with the ES-01 and the servo.

But IRC they only sell it as the whole car and electronics. I just need a Servo! Besides....$118 for whole kit is kinda pricey. I can get for allot cheaper!

Try the cirrus servo I know it will fit. the 3 things I consider when purchasing a product like this is support, quality of product and price. No one can offer all three and I have found paying a little more has always been the best choice in the long run. Watch out for shipping and handeling charges from Hong kong as I have found the price is very comparable after paying theses fees and the waiting and woundering if and when the package will arrive.
