Proper setup for tight Turns

Well it's been a week since I got my first Bit Char-G 350z. Since, I have bought the Intial D set for my sister and a Black Skyline body for myself. I have alrdy screwed up my 2.2 motor the 3rd day playing and right now it's just crawling.

I find it hard to control when I'm using the boost with the 2.2 to turn properly. I bought some soft tires (S02) which helped a bit, partly b/c the soft ones didn't get dirty as easily as the OEM tires. I'm still doing donuts way to often to make proper tight turns.

I tried putting hards on front, but then I no longer have the tight turns as the front don't give me enough traction.

I haven't tried new suspensions yet, but I highly doubt it can help my problems that much.

Please give me some advice, thanks in advance.

Btw I'm already madly addicted to this hobby and everyday can't stop thinking about what to mod to my Bit Char-G.

If you do a spring suspention mod, it'll help a good amount, but nothing works as good as changing the race surface that you race on, and keeping the tires super clean. You can do this with some strips of tape. Take about 5 strips of tape about 4 in long, and put them side to side. Next, you want to put them on the table. (sticky side up)
Take 2 more strips of tape and tape it down

Swipe your cars across this before you race, and check out the difference.. They're not this sticky when they're new

Your track surface should have some texture to it if you want some grip and go action..

Hope this helps your dilema..

I will try to tape trick, but I have no choice in racing surface, as I only have one type of hard floor, kitchen tiles(not peferectly flat). But sounds like a good idea!

Are the zipzap suspensions bar better than the Bit Char-G ones?

Well I do have a table tennis table that I can secure it from the Bits from falling but I'm just worried that I might damage my table. I guess I'll think about hehe..

A spring suspension will get rid of the bounce in your car on the uneven surface. I highly recomend this mod..

i dont think your 2.2 is messed up, just not placed properly. In the s2000 set i bought, there was a sheet included with it that shows how to put the motor. apparently the contact part is small so you have to put it as they tell you to in the diagram for it to work perfect. However, none of the two 350z sets I bought contained this diagram even tho they utilize the same motor.

Springs sounds cool but does it turn any better? Sounds kinda expensive to be shipping such cheap things for such high prices.

Those wheels look awesome, did those tires come with those wheels?!

Actually the 350z come pre-built which was no fun at all, how should the contact be to the motor? Do you have any pictures of the diagram they provided in the s2000?

I read somewhere (can't recall where) that pullback tires were good. Just how good are they compared to the S02 soft tires are they?

The springs are actually pretty cheap, and you can get em gold plated bling style baby...

The rims and tires came together from the German site, but I've recently found out that the rear pullback tires fit the alloy rims better, and have double the grip, and they sit lower like 60 series...

I don't notice any difference with the 3 hole zipzap bar. For turing, start out with the softest tires on all 4. If it flips over or turns too tight, change the front tires into harder ones until you find it ideal. If it underturns with those harder tires on front, put harder ones in back. You want the softest tire combo possible, but doesn't spin out, flip over, or underturn.

Nice rims!

Are those tires wider than normal? I'm sure that helps the steering too. Man those are bad!

By the way, SoJai, you're not supposed to be able to make tight turns at top speed. That's what the booster is for. Let off it before you hit your turns. You'll either learn now or learn when you get an RSpec, formula34 or Perfection 3.8.
