you can insert this without solder if you are tricky. the only other equipment you need is another battery and a piece of thick cardboard(or any other insulator)

Are you just adding a third cell to the controller here? I did a three-cell mod to my 2-speed controller and did not see any improvement in range. Are you experiencing big improvements in range with 3 AAAs?

ya the tomy controllers are crap. i like the "turbo blaster" but ya even after putting a 2foot telescopic antenna and adding a 3rd bat i still got crap range.


so for tomy controllers this mod will only work for charging a dual battery car.

in a clone controller you should see a range increase.

So, are you running a booster car with a clone controller somehow, or are you just living with crap range on the 2-speeder?

ya. my 2 speeder ripped through its pinion and idler gears anyhow so i put her away for a little while.

tomy chassis with a clone pcb is nice. great range great handling. i miss my turbo blaster tho.
