skyline GT-R set
I am decideing whether to get a lancer or the skyline set. They are on the same frequency, but i want them both! although, this will be my secound car to own, so getting both wouldn't be good. What i want to know is is the skyline set any good? if so, then wy is it only $6 more and you get two extra bodies? thats really cheap! but i also like the lancer. HELP

whats the frequency? pretty much a rule of thumb is the higher the freq the better the range.
also tomys tend to have horrible range. buy a clone and transplant the board.

My Skyline set did have crappy range, but just taking the crip cap out of the controller helps big time. It's easy to clip out so it's no biggy.
The 1.0 that comes in it is pretty slow, but I had bought a 3.8 with mine, so I wasn't worried what came with it.
It was going for the same price as the other bits on ebay, so I thought the extra bodies made it better deal.

Get the lancer, I had the skyline set. It was only good for the bodies, the range on the skyline set sucks. I have a black celica with the same frequency, the range in my celica is better (10feet in room, compared with 4feet of the skyline).
Its your preference. I heard the older kits (i.e. G-20 and older) are better to get.

only problem with the skyline set as i see it is the bodies sit kinda high on the chassis... it's NO problem, however, if you simply lower the tabs...
i would go GT-R set... extra bodies... i love the r32, especially in that color... and they're beautiful bodies....

I sold my 200gtr from the set, kept the r34 and r32. I agree that they do sit a little too high on the chassis, but they look really nice.

Go
i have skyline set im not happy because first i opened it out of the box and it wouldnt work so i had 2 muck around with it.it finally started working so i put 3.0 moter in it and it worked fine but a couple of weeks later it stoped working so i went to a hobby shop and asked what was wrong with it and he said the battery in side of the car didnt work so i got a new battery and it still dosnt work so that was waste of $50 so i wouldnt get a skyline kit.

Yeah I would go for the Lancer MS from Tiny (on sale right now) and pick up one of the Formula 34 motors. That would = the cost of the Skyline set coming from Japan. And the Lancer would get to you faster. I have the Skyline set and the range is crap. I think the older Bits have shorter antenna on their controllers. I just got my Gloria set from Toyeast today and its antenna is about 5" longer than the Skylines'. It is the same size as a MSer antenna. Just my obeservation.
