Painting on the inside is the best way to go especially if you looking for a high gloss finish. Painting on the inside of the body is what most 1/10 scale RC hobbyists do (such as myself) Painting on the out side gives the risk of getting th paint to scratch off and a risk of not having a nice glossy finish. The good side to painting on the out side is that it is much easier to do than painting on the inside (you much more room to work with) . Oh and you should put a couple of light coats of paint on and hit it with the hair dryer after very coat so help it dry quicker and prevent it from running. Make sure you stick the tape on there (if you masking the windows or graphics out) really good, go over the cornors with a pencil eraser to prevent the paint from running under the tape. Just remember to use LIGHT coats of paint and if you have an airbrush use it.
if you are using bit char-g bodies, painting on the inside sometimes looks kinda strange cuz they are so thick. you will have clear bumpers and rear veiw mirrors because they are solid, not like thin 1/10th bodies. Look at a bit and you might see what i mean.
