Back to Batteries again

Well after seeing how big a pain in the butt a Li-ion batt. can be. I decided to do something different. I am very seriously contemplating doing a laymans quad cell mod. I was wondering if there was any way to get better contact between the batteries to get more juice to the motor. Well anyways please state ur opinion on a laymans quad cell mod. The reason I want to do a laymans one is that it is light weight and 4.8v at the weight of one regular batt would be nice.

there is this stuff that they use for electronics that melts at a relativly low temperature for metals. you can get this hot iron and touch the tip to this stuff and it melts and use it to bind two wires together to form an electrical connection.

i think they call it chowder or fodder. no its called
