This "Twisted SpringŪ" out performs any stock spring in my opinion. As with any spring mod, some tweeking is required. But, This mod is awsome!! (If I may say so myself). I will replace the springs in all of my Bits (6) with this mod. I will just keep the stock springs in my tool box.

16 AWG Wire. Wire is measured in gauge. I just used one strand pulled out of the plastic outside cover. You can check my sight for a couple more pictures. http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-bitmagic

Just wondering if anyone has tried making their own "Twisted SpringŪ" and if so how do you like it? I have made a few more now, and am ready to mod most of my other Bits. I think I will leave some with the stock spring, you never know when a track surface might be better driven with loose steering.
Just looking for feedback.
Does anyone have another good spring mod?
p.s. I am in between addresses right now. When I get settled in my new address, I may offer these for a small donation (postage + ?.??). That is for anyone who doesn't have the resources to make their own. These are really easy to make and offer GREAT performance! Let me know what you think.

Without a question: They work as well and better than a stock spring. This has turned my wort steering car into my best! I looked all over the web trying to find a replacement spring. I found that makeing one seemed to be my only option. I wanted one with a better centering ability, and that is what the "Twisted SpringŪ" offers. Its Tight! I am not looking to make "bucks", but if I can help out my fellow Bit enthusiast and get a little back for the effort, that would be great! I will let you all know when I have made enough to send any out.
(I have a 3 year old son, so I dont have a whole lot of free time)
Just wondering, when I do make them, would you rather I leave them a little long on the open end so that you could trim them to fit you bit? Let me know.

id make them all standard bit sized. thats what im saying make it so you can get a few bucks for your time. you got a hot comodity there anyhow you could make a killing on ebay. i found a site a while ago that sold them for 75cents a piece. i were to buy them id want a bunch just to stock up. again id feel more than happy to pay 5bucks for like 10 or so.(if they work as well as you say)
