Another Knock-off
HAS ANYONE EVER BOUGHT ONE OF THE MINIs CALLED "MICROMITES" BY TEDCO? ARE THERE ANY MODS FOR THEM? IF YOU CAN HELP ME OUT I WOULD APPRECIATE IT

Hello and welcome to the forum, crazyirishman! I love your name btw! Are you from Ireland or just Irish by descent?
Anywho...I've heard of them and honestly I'd advise to stay away from them if at all possible. From everything I've heard they are not good quality at all. As far as mods or anything I'm not sure....sorry.

Booo Hissss
I had the misforune of buying a Bensu MicroMites car.
I was taken in by a decent looking set of wheels, a half-decent black RX 7 body and a free set of orange cones.
I have only ever had clones, and thought I knew what to look for.
When I put batteries in it and pushed forward, the gears imediately locked, having propelled the car about three quarters of an inch.
Upon inspection, the gears were so badly out of true as to be completely unusable.
Also, they use non-standard gearing, which results in non-standard spacing. No swapping rear parts!
End of the line.
I didn't take it back, I broke it up for parts.
I still like the wheels, which currently sport a MicroSizer 8.25:1 gearset. The body cleaned up okay, and the blue endbell motor is among my motors in the parts box. I am still trying to determine if the battery is an NmHd.
I now know to check the gearing in the back end of clones.
