Anyone know anything about these?
Found a good deal on ebay. He's always got dutch auctions up for 8.95, shipped. They are the ones with the 3.0 motors, the bodies have clear windows, and some are kinda cool looking.
Here's is an auction:

Anyone one tried these? Any good?
I'm getting a couple for parts.

Be careful Crazydave a friend picked up the one for me as a gift (I have circled in the pic) , at a flea market late last summer. It is the worst piece of crap clone I've ever had. The windows are black not clear, body full of crappy stickers. The steering was just so sloppy wouldn't turn correctly no matter what. The motor was hard wired in and slow as turtle poop. Mine is NOT a 3.0 more like a 1.0 if that. It was just a very poor quality car, after I ran it once I stripped it for parts..Thats my $.02......Good Luck!

Sounds like the clone I have, but at least mine had a decent 2.6 in it.
I intend to use these for the wheels, batteries, practice painting the bodies, possible PCB swap for my Zip Zap, and I'm hoping the motors are decent, at least as good as the 2.6 in my other clone.
I was just wondering if anyone around here ordered off of this guy, because I was wondering if what I get will be as cool as the ones in the picture. I'm actually afraid I might like it, and not want to tear it apart. Those Imprezas look pretty cool.

the one box says CYCLONE. Not to be confused with CYCLONA.
i can't believe it...now they are making clones of other clones. blah.
as far as quality...are you really going to stress over $9 if it's really garbage? buy it and see. we do all expect a full report from you based on its quality.

those are cyclonas. i have several of them and they are all reliable. the quality of the wheels and steering isnt quite as good as bits but its better than a lot of other clones. they usually come with pretty good motors. both bit chassis i have have pcbs from cyclonas. they get way better range and come in 5 frequencies. i can get them for 10bucks cash down the road here.

No stress, I had already bought a couple before I even posted. I'm just curious what I bought, that's all. I'm wondering If I'm going to kill them then play with them, or play with them then kill them. Maybe I'll even let one live.
Hogjowls, I hope they are the Cyclonas, if they are as good as you been saying. My Cannonball really didn't have much steering at all, due to extra large sloppily wound coils that limited the space the steering magnet could move.

i have got four of these, motors were good in all but one. i use the motors for my Microsizer and its faster than any other motor i have and i have them all. For that price i woukde get them just for the parts alone. My friend works for a compant that sells those so i buy them for 7$ ea all the time. GOOD LUCK , HAVE FUN.
Remember even if the cars doesn't run well you always have spare parts and a new top too.

i highly recommend a 57mhz one just for the pcb. the cars really are nice. my friend has a dual cell cyclona and i raced it against my dual cell bit and really both were almost identical in performance. the bit may win on steering and durability but the cyclona wins on range and motor and price.
i think the pics are of super racing and cyclonas on that page. the top pic showing the cars out of the dome are cyclonas. the bottom pic showing them in dome are super racing.
if you get super racing you get a lot more inconsistant cars with really good motors and pretty good bodies.
hope for the cyclonas.
