range mods on 4-band controller

hi all,

I'm a newbie to the forum. I got addicted to Bit CharG's after my first purchase (blue WRX) more than a month ago. Since then my collection grew to 10 functioning Bits, 7 clear bodies, Skyline 2000GT body and Supra racing body (waiting for chassis).

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has done any range mods on the 4-band controller. The only mod i found so-far is the 1st-gen controller antennae swap. any other mods known?

damn...was hoping i could avoid PCB mods

ok...i did a lot of reading in a lot of the threads here on tinyrc. But i still have several questions. mainly b/c many people had different results in their mods. Has anybody modded their controllers w/ a telescopic antenna longer than 2 ft? and if so... was there a significant gain in range?

I did that with my wild char G and got in a doctors office about 16ft. and 10 in my 14x12 room
