My first zip I broke and I think its because I messed up the one of those magnets. I thinked I scraped to hard on the magnet and messed it up. Do you think making a new coil messed it up or maybe my board just fried? It still turns in one direction. The lil white nylon thing on the bottom of the board has turend a lil brown like it got burned. Its the biggest thing on the bottom of the board towarrds the front. Last thing I can think of if I do make new coils can I just splice there wires with the old wires off the board or do I have to solder them directly to the board?

Im a bit confused.

When I say MAGNET, I MEAN THE CYLINDER SHAPED peice of metal, When I say COIL, IT IS THE COILED UP WIRE.

1.Did u make your own steering coils?

2.I do not think that scraping the magnet would damage it, however, scraping the coil can easily damage it.

3.if there is a burn on your circuit board, then it could be damaged there, not sure what u mean by the nylon thing.Dont worry about that till later tho, it may not matter.

4.You have to solder the wire from the coils to the board.

5.Is there ne coil wires (fine wires) that are broken?

1. not yet trying decide if I need too. Sortta goes with your number 2.
2. I scraped on the coils. Got super glue on it by accident and scratched it off with and xacto
3. It some lil resistor thing im guessing. You can see coils and its in a plastic caseing towards the front of the car on the board.

5.This one I got to egar on and cut the wires since the things not working anyways and im trying to make the chassie fit on a hot wheel car body so ive taken all the electronics out of it for the moment.
