Is THIS the motor on the clones?

I keep hearing about this great motor that comes with some of the shens and panthers...

Look at this picture, is that motor the same as #4?

the pink one yes. well it came with a crappy "thor" clone. ive tried it in a zipzap the thor car several super racing and cyclonas. and a microsizer and well it is considerably better than all the other motors i have. it accelerates really well and has plenty of torque. in wheel speed tests, the r-spec did 2800 and the pink motor did about 2200. the pink motor has a lot more torque tho.

edit**btw the color of the endbell could be misleading**

So, is there ever going to be a time where your information and mine actually match?

My mA tests shows that the R-Spec has CONSIDERABLY more torque (based on how much mA it pulls at no load and max load) vs. the Pink clone.

That looks like it, except the color. On all mine I have either red or green.
Both colors came off of Panthers, and in my experience they have more torque then a Bit equivalent motor.
Plus they're alot quieter.

namuna: like i said the endbell color doesnt mean that the internals are the same. maybe i got a fluke pink motor that has magic powers, i dont know ive ran this thing in about 10 cars and it is superior in every one. the rspec winds up higher but it takes longer to get to that point. my pink motor is really quiet as well.

The motor on my Shen was pink and I also have a blue endbell one that I got of a really cheap clone and the both move quite well and seem the same and lot better than the 2.6 bit motors I was running. the clone motors have more off the line wheelie torque and great top end vs the bit 2.6 but the Rspec wins in the top speed dept by a lot.

I agree with Hog. My old clone pink motor had massive torque. It spun out off the line, but not much top end.

my pink motor has as good if not better top end than a 2.6. r-spec topped out way faster but my pinky motor crushes for at least the first 5-10feet. with a dual battery this thing is insane.

Pig man is right. My clone motors have outperformed ALL other motors I have used. Top end is slightly less than my 3.8, but by the time I get the 3.8 rapped up, my clone has already won 2 races.

Have you guys tried the Formula 34?

http://tinyrc.com/shop/product.php?pid=414

It doesn't have the top end of an R-Spec but it has more low-end torque.

Next on my list... I'm still impressed with my r-spec. Thing's super quiet now..
