What motor do you have? Get some 8.25:1 gearing. Or if you really want it fast, use Bit Racer gearing. Using the Bit Racer pinion gear makes it even faster. You can get it to fit BCG gearing by turning to motor in different positions untill it fits. It really improves speed because a 8.25:1 becomes 7.07:1 with the 7 tooth pinion gear.

I have that setup without the dual-battery mod, and it is fast as heck. I can't imagine the speed with the dual-batts. BTW my name is Cyrus too.

I am using the 8.25:1 gearset, 7 tooth pinion, and a Tomy 2.6 motor in my fastest car, (a shen Skyline) and I have beaten everyone I race against. (Of course I don't personally know anyone else who's gone apesh*t over modding these cars like me either!).
I've tried using the HW KIT racer gearing (same as Bit racer), but it's just never impressed me. I generally pull the wheels and use Bit gearing with the most success.
(I understand multi-battery mods tend to do better with them)

In the States, they are Hotwheels K.I.T. Racers, at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, ect. Lately, I've found them for $5 on clearance at Wal-Mart.
