WD40 almost killed my radican

well to make long story short:
i attached a 3rd battery
its been a while since i WD'ed my gears....so i spray with the straw thingy attatched
i overspray as usual...so i clean the most that i can with tissue
3rd cell works excellent, and then it suddenly stops
AND I SMELL SMOKE!!! so i quickly take out the battery, motor case, and then skrew off the body
it smelled like crap, and i could see WD40 right by the motor contacts..supposedly the motor spun so fast and created alot of wind inside there, that it pushed out the remaining WD40 out of the case, making it leak...
tested out the buttons, and reverse is fryed...;/
so now i just have a 3 cell drag car haha

i havent fully taken it apart to see the fryed board...but i will do....

That to bad to hear get your self a clone like i did and replace the board and the turning rotor in to your taiyo.Wd 40 is highly flamable I use it to kill ants on ant hill as flame thrower.Don't try this if you don't know what your doing

Dude that's such a drag (no pun intended), are you gonna try and replace the motor/gearcase?

oh, im sorry if i wasnt, clear...the only thing that doesnt work is the reverse.....
i looked under the board, and yep,...its brown...

the thing i did so that i wouldnt press reverse and burn the board again, was take out the B button on the controller haha...
while i was at it, i swapped the red LED to super white
i gotta take some picks

and yes, i have some spare parts from my Auldey...but im in the process of transforming that car into straight drag car....im going to make an axle as the front steering shaft thingy...and there will be no turning...which will save some weight...im also going to be putting larger tires on it, im looking either to use Mini Z wheels, or RS4 rims, because i already have the rim set, i just need the axle and attachment thingy...
its goin to be a 4 cell car with the fastest Tamiya motor possible...and im gonna buy a model body to save weight because my 206 body is uhh...not useable anymore haha

Ur audley reverse died after the wd40 incident, did u kill a transistor? Cos they wouldnt b 2 hard to replace.

Look for components on the board which look a bit worse for wear!

burn marks are usually handy!

I havent seen the diagram yet, but mayb the relay upgrade may work!

Thats provided that it doesn't depend on the damaged components to work, ill have a look n let u know!
