how bout a go-kart?

i have another idea for a go-kart... i was at the store the other day and i saw a hotwheels go-kart. it basically looked like a chassie with a seat on top and a steering wheel. you could put fenders on the side and all, and for this i was thinking about using those k.i.t. bodys. has anyone tried this yet? you could even put a little guy on the top of it.
