Is it safe to double or tripple charge?
I have 5 precious bitchar-a cars, and I was wondering if, it is safe to multi charge them. Does anybody know if I charge it more than once, the battery will be ok? Or will it reduce the life of the battery?
Does anybody know how much juice a regular NICD 1/3AAA battery from this car will take from 2 AA?(IE: Mx charge time)

You can't "MAX" charge the batteries with other batteries. You would need a nice trickle charger that can handle the lower amps to charge.
You can definately double charge the stock batteries. One way to tell when a bettery should stop being charged is when it gets warm...

binaryterror is correct.
but for those of us who got these things for portablity, yes you can double or tripple(probably more but i get anxious before getting that far) a double is good but a triple seems to top her off well enough. of course both of my working cars are dual bats now so i gota carry a separate charger.

thnx, I just hope my no-name battery in my precious cars, isn't a 40mah. Also, it is ok, to multi charge if I play for like an hour, right?

when i ran single battery cars i would always at least double. with nicd and nimh it is better to charge all the way up. but then again what did you pay for your cars? 10$? the batteries cost about 2 or 3$ so at worst(i have 7 or 8 clones maybe more) and have never fried anything from double or tripple cycling.
i have had one or two with bad batteries tho.

Ok, you guys have convinced my. I am going to double charge. About the tripple charge though. Would that hurt. I mean, how long does it take to fully charge a Ni-Cd?

I've heard of los of people triple charging, and they say they get great runtimes. Try this: take off the body and pull up the PCB. Then stick it on the charger, and feel the battery while you are charging. Once the batter is fully charged, it will start to heat up. Just figure out how many cycles it takes for that to happen, and you'll know how many cycles t takes to get your ride up to max charge.

Double charging is safe, but tripple charging is very dangerous. It can cause explosions or fire or even death.
However, TRIPLE charging is fine.

Gotta take it off and put it back on. When the light turns off, the car stops charging, as far as I know.
