What else can I do???

I am still not getting the reception that I hear alot of you guys speaking about. My bit now has a range of 8-10 feet (which I guess is a big improvement over the 3 feet I had before).

What else can I do now? I have a collapseable antenna in the mail, I removed the cripple capacitor on the PCB board, and I removed the stock antenna and replace it with a 22 gauge solid core copper one of about 9 inches. I can now get to the other side of the room, however, even at the wall, it starts to get the shakes.

Just in case you need to know what it is, its a 27MHz NSX-R, pretty stock so far. The batteries are new as well.

Help?

ive noticed that the fridge in the ketchen and any other electric things can interfer with the reception. ive done all the mods you got on my 27mhz car and it dosent get the range of the 49 so maybe thats it.

i have taken out crip cap from all my cars (that had them) but i haven't got round to doing my bus. but it is 57mhz & has better range than all the modded cars that are 35/45mhz
i don't have 27mhz yet but have 27mhz booster car in post on way to me
i was led to believe 27 was better than 57 for range (so we will see what it's like)

i havent heard of the lower freq's being better,maybe im wrong but i would think that the higher the freq the better.or then maybe i just got me a junk 27mhz car only use it to race my buddies cars and usually dont need more that 20 foot range and i got that,so im good.hope you get a better 27mhz car than i got.

think about a concert. from a 1/4 mile away do you hear bass or all the treble?

bass = lower frequency
treble= higher frequency
