This question is direct to those who have built a track using the combination of both. Before painting the plywood, was the track lane sanded with fine sandpaper. I know the blackboard paint will leave a smooth surface, however I don't want to have it too smooth by using fine sandpaper. Is it best to leave the plywood as a rough surface?
Im not too sure, considering that I haven't done it myself, although, my guess would be if you are making a technical track then keep it coarse, but otherwise, sand that puppy before you even think about painting...
