I'm looking for clones that use an IC rather than the blob on the Bit and Microsizer recievers. Here's the catch. The chip should say RX2C on it. It is rev. C of the RX2 used on these cars. If anyone has or finds one that uses this IC in the car, please post back or give me a shout.
I got one in my 2 cell Zip Zap, but not willing to give it up. It is probably one of the best boards I have. Why do you want them? I do have one that says RX-2BS.
If I can find an RX board that uses the RX2C IC chip, I'm confident that I can mod it into a booster machine. Pin 9 on the IC needs to be grounded to enable the boost function on rev. C of the chips. I have a rev. B (like you) on a 40MHz board from a cheap (and very crappy) clone. Soldered the RX into a Microsizer chassis for the 6th frequency. Rev. B (and earlier) of these chipsets do not incorprate the booster function present in rev. C. The turbo function of these earlier chips does provide an additional output. But, I have not use of it at the present time.
