Biggest ZZ motor

So I'm new here but I did the "No Reverse" mod on mah blue civic. Pretty sweet lil mod and nice performance gains.

I was tired of losing to mah buddies Supra at work, so I came home and did got curious. Mah biggest question, what's the biggest motor I can put in mah ZZ with the stock PCB and 1 battery? I was told a 2.6, but I thought I would ask the pros.

Next quick question is about the gears. Is the red motor\green gear really that much better than the red/red? And when you say gear, do you mean the small one or the one on the wheels?

The best motor in my hevily modded zip is either the green, red, or DKS 2.8/Monkey motor. I use red gears/green or blue gears/Monkey.

I have had better results using the green gearing.

Red motor Red gears works well too. With 2-cell, it flies (and flips).
