Help a new guy

Help, I have an American Hobbico Microsizer. When I am running it, it seems to stop for no reason. Then if I give it a little push, it starts going again.

It's brand new, no dirt, nothing. The antenna seems a little short. Should I put a different antenna on it?

How do I know what wire to buy to replace the antenna if that's the problem?

thanks,

Andrew

You can send it back. Try a different room in the house. Take it back to the store. It could be because of interference from the kitchen or computer or TV or something like that. Also, those cars only have about 5-8 feet of range out of the box. So, if it's father away than that...that could be the reason it stutters or stops.

You need to have some soldering skills to replace the antenna in the car. I would use 24g solid copper wire or cat5 cable.

You could also try the crip cap mod which is at QFM and also posted somewhere in these forums. Do a search. : )

Cool thanks.

I forgot to mention too ..... I put a faster motor in it. Maybe it's loosing contact with the car somehow.

I don't think that there's a contact problem. Just try what I mentioned and post again if your problem persists. Good luck!
