installing a rare earth magnet?

i hear everyone talk about going to radio shack and getting them, but no one mentions anything about installing them, is it hard to do? what tools are needed? and if your bit stutters a bit when cornering will this help/fix the problem?

Its very easy to do. Take out the steering arm (total of 1 screw to do this) and snap the glue holding the original magnet in. It helps to stick the rare earth one to the original while still in place to get the polarity right. Then, mark one of the sides on the rare earth so you install it facing the right way. Pop the old one out, new one in, and a dab of superglue or epoxy to hold it there. Be sure to let it dry before use, and it will improve steering a lot.
