Motor reliability

I am new to the hobby (bought my first car late in November) and I was just wondering.....how long should these motors last?

I had one fail in a charg-n-go clone in about 15 runs. The motor in my MicroSizer became extremely slow after approximately 35 runs. Both work fine after replacing the motors.

My Micro Blast Racer has started getting slower and slower after maybe 25 or 30 runs. It has wires soldered to the motor--making it difficult to change, so I don't know if a motor replacement will fix it.

Motors seem to wear out before the batteries. Is this normal for these, or have I just had a bad run of motors??

TIA for any comments or suggestions.

It sounds like you've had some bad luck...hehe join the crowd. I've had bad luck with the Microsizers myself. (Not so straight steering with me and I've tried three already) But I just recently had a 2.2 engine start acting up as well. It's not running near as fast as it should be. But like my case I think that you just keep getting lemons.
