Help! Got new warranty 'sizer chassis...
I finally fixed my steering problem... I emailed Hobbico with my problem, and they sent me a new chassis. They have great customer support.
Here's my NEW problem: I accidentally told them my Skyline was 27Mhz, when it's actually 49Mhz...
So, now I have a new chassis that I can't control...
Is there a way to change the car's receiver xtal, or fine-tune to pot, to change it to 49Mhz???
Thanks fellas!

Nope...besides hobbico should know your frequencey based off of the product barcode you were required to submit as part of customer service form...They should have realized what frequency you had and send the right body even if you told them wrong frequency....I would email them that they sent you the wrong chasis.

I never gave them the barcode. I just emailed customer support, and without provication, they sent me a new chassis! Great support, too bad I messed it up on my end.
Is the receiver frequency part of the chip-on-board? Or is it soldered to the board. I have the ability to do SMT work, so I can swap parts if need be. I might just switch the PCB's entirely...

I'm not sure but as far as I know you have to match frequencies. Maybe someone here might know more about the electronics end.

Ahh, but my wife's car is the same freq. as my new one!
No problem, I just switched the front ends around, and now my original chassis works properly.
If someone knows how to swap frequencies, I'm sure many could benefit!

Too bad it is not a zip...
I have a spare 49 for a zipzap that I had a project go bad on. I replace the 49mhz car with a new one, and now have 2 controllers for the one car in that freq.
Oh well, sounds like the bit 4 channel controller is the way to go...

Latency ,
Does your Zap 49 control your Bit 49? Mine will not. My 27 bit clone controller runs my 27 Zap real well but none of my 49s run any other car I have.
